We left Steinkhof at about 9am and headed out in to the wilderness on route to Pella.
The roads in this area are defiantly for bikes or 4X4 vehicles after passing some small settlements we arrived once again on the banks of the orange river and headed down a road that was once again more like a goat track, here was the evidence of the recent flooding as there were reeds and branches stuck high up in trees and overhanging cliffs the trees and cliffs were higher than the landy and the road was a bout 10m higher than the river. we had lunch by the river once again, and are now heading in the direction of Pella and the Pella Date farm, the Navigator called a stop to all proceedings to find a better route as the road from the river to Pella was so straight that you could fall asleep then and wake up in a hour and still be on the road (except for Jonny who today had a OOPsy moment as was evident in the tyre tracks and foot placements we observed in a embankment.)
after the navigator found a better road we eventually reached our destination for the day, Not before we rode straight past the Kleyn Pella Date farm and had to back track to the farm, a very pleasant place to stop with family rooms on suit rooms and camping facilities, we chose to stay in the family rooms the cost us R420.00 for the 7 of us dinner was R65.00 each for a 2 course meal,
