Swartburg to Sea day 3

After a snack of cold Pizza purchased the night before we headers up the swartburg pass on our way to Calitz-Dorp, we headed in to thick mist so did not see much of the scenery most of the way up the pass, but was we did see was awesome and the road was a great ride, after going over the pass we headed down a tar road towards Calitz-Dorp and then turned on to a dirt road and headed for Groenfontain, here we turned right instead of left ( the navigators again) and headed on a road marked no caravans ,no trucks ( our kind of road)  we entered Calitz-Dorp the Back way and this was a great windy dirt road in the middle of nowhere , there were quite a few people living out here in the middle of no whare (Strange) we stopped in Calitz-Dorp for a late Breakfast and to say good bye to Angus who was heading into the distance towards Cape Town, the rain started as we left Calitz-Dorp and did not let up until we hit the tar after going through the Severweeksport pass, we had sunshine for about 20 km on the tar then we stopped 10 Km outside of Laingsburg for running repairs on the Honda, the frame is not strong enough to hold the long range tank on all the bumps ,
(this is a must be upgrade for all Honda XR650 R bike owners with long range tanks), heading out the back way to Tows River we hit the rain and wind again. it was very cold and wet, after streamlining the Honda for 26km I reached Tows River without having to use the jerry can in the box, thanks Ant, we refuelled in Tows river , with no coffee at the Total garage ,much to Harries disgust  we headed to the restraint at the BP garage for a toasty and 2 cups of coffee, by this time the rain had stopped and we headed the back roads to Ceres down the pass on the way to Moeriesbug having toped all the tanks up in Moeriesbug we headed the back way through to Hopefield and then on to langebaan.
A great trip, great fun, no major incidents, and the best bike on the ride were the Road Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ridding by Harry.
So to Ant, Greg , Ken, Harry, Angus ,Grant thanks for a good trip, looking forward to the next. Cheers for now (the negotiator)
